Hi Friends! Long Time, No Blog…
It’s been a week. One busy week.
And the week isn’t even over yet.
To break it down briefly, this past weekend, my parents came this past weekend to celebrate their wedding anniversary. Even though I worked on two of their three-day visit, I was able to spend a full day with them at the parks, and even spend two nights at their hotel. It was a nice mini-vacation.
Then, on Tuesday, October 2nd, I went to a concert with some co-workers. We saw Owl City, and we could not believe our eyes.
On Wednesday, I had a doctor’s appointment. Nothing too exciting here, but I enjoy the freedom of having a car and being able to drive wherever and whenever I want. It’s very therapeutic as well.
I went to the gym for the first time in awhile on Thursday. The gym has always been a safe place for me to clear my thoughts and maintain healthy habits. I also tried the treadmill for the first time and oh my gosh I’m in love! I think I found a new healthy hobby…
Today, Friday, I work at 5:30 pm and the NEW World of Disney is open! Well… sort of. The first two rooms are open, and the rest of the store is set to open later this fall. As someone who also works in the back and in some Downtown Disney locations, I haven’t seen the new interior of WOD, so I am so excited to head to work today.
Working in the front is always a lot of fun. I love the guest interaction (ask me any question or pint trade with me if I have the lanyard) and helping guests find that perfect merchandise item. In addition, everyone in the front is friendly and has a good attitude about work. Even when closing, people rarely ever complain, and we have a lot of fun closing up the store.
For my next blog posts, I will go into more detail about my parks day with my parents and the concert. Stay tuned!
