November Favorites 2022
That’s right, everyone! We’re back with another round of favorites for the month of November! What do we have in store for this month?
As usual, here’s a song for vibes~ We’re going with a Christmas song this time since we’re already in December!
Are we vibin?
Okay, cool!
Let’s dive in now:
Waffles with Whipped Cream and Sprinkles
Okay, hear me out! Sometimes I just need to treat myself lol. This breakfast tastes good and is a nice meal to wake up to, especially on those days where it's hard to get out of bed! I do advise on only eating his breakfast once a week, since it has a lot of sugar (and I do find myself crashing at the end of the work day sometimes). Nonetheless, it’s a lot of fun and uplifts my mood when I make this.
Cheez-It Snack Mix
DO NOT talk to me about snacking unless we are talking about the Cheez-It Snack Mix. This is IT, y’all. This is the snack of the month. Possibly of the year. And the superior chip of them all??? The small spherical puffs that offer the perfect crunch and texture (pictured below). No further questions or comments, please and thank you.
Fresh Flowers & Funky Vases
This past month, I started buying myself flowers for no particular reason. During one trip to Trader Joe’s, I thought it would be nice to have flowers in my room, and I was right. I even went to Goodwill to buy some cute vases! These vases are affordable, sustainable, and unique! Before that, I would put the flowers in reusable cups and mason jars, but I could tell the flowers weren’t entirely thriving.
I bought a small bouquet of tulips that started drooping by the second day they were in my room. Soon after, they were drooping so hard that they fell off my nightstand! I put them back in the vase with fresh water and they suddenly became so full of life and seemed to want to reach high up to the sky. So dramatic. Watching the flowers adjust to different lights and fresh water is so satisfying. It makes me happy knowing I’ve kept some flowers alive even just a little bit longer, simply changing a few minor environmental factors.
Isntree SPF 50+ Sunscreen Stick
With the recent rise of sunscreen usage in the search of the elusive fountain of youth, I’ve found myself trying various sunscreens over the past year. I have some favorites that I will always recommend (perhaps a list for another blog post…), but I have been loving this one sunscreen stick this past month. Korean skincare brand Isntree’s sunscreen stick feels so silky and smooth that it actually feels like I am “refreshing” my face as I apply it. This is something I’m definitely repurchasing after I finish!
I can’t speak to whether it moves makeup around since I don’t wear a full face of makeup often, but I would assume it does move around at least a little bit. The product is white but glides on the face clear! No white cast!
Car Coasters
One thing about my car is that I keep it impeccably clean. I don’t like it cluttered and always make sure to remove my trash after every car ride. However, I realized one day that my car is kind of boring lol. I don’t have anything that is really personalized, besides my blanket I keep in the backseat.
One trip to Etsy later and I found some very cute car coasters that would go well in my car! These are a subtle way to add some flair and personality to my car! I love how they are essentially mini carpets and match the blue exterior of my car.
I bought mine from a small shop called Honey Art & Nature! They also gave me a free bracelet (pictured above)! Here’s a link to their shop!
Girlfriend Collective Quarter Crew Socks
I used to be exclusively an ankle sock girlie. Recently, however, I’ve noticed the trend has changed to favor quarter crew socks. After trying out a pair from GC, my favorite sustainable workout clothing brand, I knew it was the start of something new. The quality, thickness, compression, bold colors, and commitment to sustainability all sold me on these socks. The words printed on the top of the socks are fun, too!
If you are interested in buying from GC, use my link to get 30% off your first purchase of $95 or more! (For transparency, I do earn a free pair of leggings with every purchase through my link. It’s a win-win).
The Cutest Zoom Profile Pics
Like many of us who have transitioned to hybrid or fully remote working environments, my team utilizes Zoom to communicate throughout the day. My coworkers and I frequently change our backgrounds and profile photos to celebrate holidays, welcome new team members, commemorate special events, and just for fun. I am always on the look-out for cute photos of plushies, critters, and characters, but especially of Kermit the Frog, to change my Zoom profile pic. And my coworkers love every single photo I change my picture to.
Here are some examples of photos I rotate through on Zoom:
The four horsemen of the apocalypse
Although this was a short list, I still wanted to share with y’all what some of my favorites have been this past month!
What do you think? Are you trying any of these items this month?
Until next time, friends!
