Day 5: Sleeping Soundly(ish)*
I can’t wake up before 9:30 am. And even then, my body want to go back to sleep. This is because I’m closing the store (whether I’m working the front or back) every single night.
I’m not complaining. I know working for Disney is a blessing, and over 60,000 applicants apply for the Disney College Program (only about 200 get accepted into the Disneyland program— and I got accepted twice in my lifetime).
But, wow, my body hates me. Or at least, it’s adjusting for the change in sleeping schedule.
I set several alarms today to be woken up at early(ish) times. 7:30. 7:45. 8:30. All times met with a snooze button and eventually turned off. When I woke up at one point, the Spotify app was open. Starbucks was open at a different alarm. Did I click these as I was falling back asleep? Was my body subconsciously telling me I needed music and coffee to wake myself up?
I am awake now, since I am able to type this, but I need to come to terms with the fact that my sleeping schedule is changing, and my body needs rest.
