I have a new role at Disneyland!

They grow up so fast… it seems like just two months ago I transferred from working in retail at World of Disney to retail at Avengers Campus. Oh wait, that’s because it was two months ago! (And I didn’t even have a chance to blog about it 💔).

As much as I miss working inside the parks, I’m so excited and happy that I transitioned to a new role at the Disneyland Resort! I’m now a Time & Attendance Associate with the Workforce Management team.

What is this team? Only the most important team at the resort! The team looks at timesheets and payment requests from Cast Members all over the resorts, investigating and making sure the times are accurate so that CMs can get paid on time. We also answer phone calls and other questions from CMs relating to payroll, work time, and attendance.

My task is to specifically look at timesheets and perform audits to ensure they look accurate and free of errors. And to clarify, because I get this question a lot, I am still working at Disneyland, but backstage, in an administrative office building.

I absolutely love it so far, but I must say that it is a lot to learn. Learning how to read timesheets, identifying the issues, inserting the correct time codes and work times, and knowing appropriate labor laws (and union agreements, etc.) can be extremely overwhelming, but the team is so helpful and supportive. I’m not a pro, but I know I will be in just a few weeks :)

I feel so lucky and blessed to be able to lend a hand to this team and support them in any way I can.

Here are some photos I took on my first day of training, where I was invited to visit Disneyland with my friends after my shift. Behind-the-scenes photos are included as well.

Fun fact: I’ve had this outfit waiting for about a year, waiting because I knew I would hear back from the leaders of this team.

Any questions? Feel free to ask!

Until next time, friends.
